I recieved a request on Etsy to make Captain Flint Season 1-2 and I love him! He’s a lot better than my previous Flint, especially with his longer coat and longer hair.
I also really love his cute little ponytail! I tend to get worried about cutting the hair too short but in this case it turned out well. I also think his beard is a lot better than before – i crocheted this one compared to sewing a beard straight on to the head.
My DREAM crochet goals are to crochet Max and Eleanor, but they seem very difficult at the moment with the plans I have for them. Also I have yet to learn how to permanently keep curly hair, it seems to straighten out after a few hours. I’ll find out how to do it though, i’m still completely in love with this show and am determined to make the whole gang 🙂
I’m so happy with how he turned out! John Silver amigurumi:
I personally LOVED making his legs and his beard. This is the first time i’ve tried curly hair, and I think I need to use a smaller hook to make the curls tighter. However, Silver’s hair isn’t as curly as Max’s so I think this is fine 🙂
He’s a little harder to stand, but totally worth it!
John’s back view. Also a better look at his curly hair.
I’m currently relocating so I can’t open my Etsy shop just yet. However, once I have moved in I will add him to the shop 🙂 I love him so much though, I’m happy to have him around for a while!
Captain Flint! To be honest, this was one of the most difficult projects so far. I’d love to know what you think. One of the hardest decisions was picking hair colour! I stuck with brown hair and a red beard, but I’d also love to make Season 1 Flint with his little ponytail…
I also would like to make his jacket longer next time. Again, this is one of my most tricky projects but i hope you like it and he looks somewhat similar!
I’m in the middle of relocating but once i’ve settled in my new home I will add him to Etsy 🙂
This week I have sold one of my favourite amigurumis. Black Soul Doll, made because even tough guys still need love. He wears black and grey strips and holds the red heart close to his chest. The heart is a gift for the person he loves and cares for, and he doesn’t just give it to anyone. You’re a very special person if this little guy is giving you his heart.
This doll has given me so many new ideas, so I’m very happy to have made him and especially happy that he is going to share his love in a new house. I really hope his new owners love him as much as I do, so goodbye little guy.
Sorry for the lack of posts recently! I’ve been on holiday and have now moved in to a new house for my final year of uni. Before I moved I wanted to try and make something a little different… I love making cats and have always wanted to make a mermaid, so why not combine them?
