Captain Flint! To be honest, this was one of the most difficult projects so far. I’d love to know what you think. One of the hardest decisions was picking hair colour! I stuck with brown hair and a red beard, but I’d also love to make Season 1 Flint with his little ponytail…
I also would like to make his jacket longer next time. Again, this is one of my most tricky projects but i hope you like it and he looks somewhat similar!
I’m in the middle of relocating but once i’ve settled in my new home I will add him to Etsy 🙂
Sticking to the Black Sails theme, i really wanted to crochet some abs! Charles Vane seemed like a good idea… A tough decision deciding whether to crochet him with or without a shirt, but choices had to be made.
Vane on the side… I always get annoyed with hair but this time i loved adding it. Maybe because i got to braid a few strands for him 🙂
And lastly, Jack and Vane together again. I made Jack’s hat after my last post, and it was a little small so i didn’t want to make a post just for that. But, he has to have his hat in at least ONE of my pictures! So here are the two pirates side by side. Anne has been sold so it feels weird not having her in the picture, but i will make her again! Jack is nothing without Anne after all, but he has his friend for now.
Both Vane and Jack are on my Etsy store, but i can’t wait to crochet the whole gang and have them all together 🙂
Once I had made Anne Bonny I couldn’t have her all alone! She needed her partner in crime so I started making Jack.
This one took a while, it was during this time that I developed repetitive strain injury and i’ve been in a lot of pain the last few weeks! It’s prevented me from crocheting a lot and i’m a little scared that I won’t be able to crochet as fast as normal. I’m still not recovered, there’s still aches and pains and it’s incredibly frustrating. The first week I couldn’t even fold a letter!
Anyway, Jack is finally finished! I’ve started to crochet his pirate hat but that might take a little longer than expected. Everything is just going very slowly right now.
On the bright side, I can’t wait to make the rest of the characters. I have lots of ideas for the rest, i’m excited to see how they’ll turn out 🙂
I’m sorry i’ve been absent! I have finished university and am starting to adjust to the real world of jobs and adulthood. It’s hard when you have no idea what you want to do, but I won’t go into that!
Last year I became a HUGE fan of Black Sails and the character Anne Bonny. I love her strength and independence, her love for Jack and Max, her fighting skills and her way with words 😉
So it was inevitable that I would crochet my favourite character. It took a few tries as i’m not used to jackets, should I make them removable or are they attached to the body? I finally created something i’m really proud of and I hope you like it too.
It’s currently on my store CrochetWithPride.etsy.com , and I can’t wait to add the rest of the Black Sails characters!
Inspired by ‘Once Upon A Time in Crochet’, I have made Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf! She carries a little basket with her and looks very cute with a little flower on her cap! She has a red cape to keep her warm, along with big black boots fit for walking! The wolf looks smart with his red handkerchief. He’s trying to be on his best behaviour, but he can’t be taimed…
I haven’t posted in a while as i’ve started university and final year is quite stressful! Also, i’ve been thinking up some new ideas, and they’re more time consuming than my usual amigurumi.
I’m currently making a set of girls in different coloured dresses. I wanted the dresses to have different shapes, but since this is my first time making these girls i’m going to play it safe for the first time and stick to one dress pattern for all four.
I’m also working on Mikasa from Attack on Titan, and i’m so excited for how it will look once completed! The only problem is… i don’t know how to make coats or jackets!
For the set of girls i want to make coats for them too, so this is a major issue! For this reason, it may take me longer than usual to make these amigurumi, but i will make sure they are completed! Once i know the basics for making a jacket/coat i’m sure the rest will be easy, so i’ll try and find some tutorials or example patterns to get me started.
I wanted to make some christmas dolls for my shop, but with these projects that might be put on hold, and maybe something i could do next year instead. I’ve wanted to make Mikasa for a long time now so that’s my focus at the moment. I can’t wait to show it to you soon 🙂
This week I have sold one of my favourite amigurumis. Black Soul Doll, made because even tough guys still need love. He wears black and grey strips and holds the red heart close to his chest. The heart is a gift for the person he loves and cares for, and he doesn’t just give it to anyone. You’re a very special person if this little guy is giving you his heart.
This doll has given me so many new ideas, so I’m very happy to have made him and especially happy that he is going to share his love in a new house. I really hope his new owners love him as much as I do, so goodbye little guy.
